Wheeler's 26 points and 6 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

19-year old forward Phillip Wheeler (204-F-2002) had a very impressive game in the last week for league's best team Quebradillas and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 5.
He had the game-high 26 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Quebradillas in his team's victory, helping them to beat Arecibo (#3, 3-2) 94-89. It allowed Quebradillas to take over top position in the Puerto Rican league. Quebradillas have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Wheeler had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Quebradillas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Phillip Wheeler averages this season 16.9ppg and 5.1rpg.

Second best performed player last week was Jahvari Josiah (193-G/F-1993, agency: Green Sports Management) of Guayama. He is naturalized American swingman in his first season at Guayama. In the last game Josiah recorded impressive double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Guayama cruised to a 93-85 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Santurce (#3, 3-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Guayama consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Josiah is a newcomer at Guayama and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (201-F-1995) of San German (#5). Hollis-Jefferson showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, sixteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last week. He was a key player of San German, leading his team to a 90-88 win against slightly lower-ranked Carolina (#6, 1-4). The chances of San German not to end season at such low position in Group A, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hollis-Jefferson could try to bring San German's a little bit higher in the standings. Hollis-Jefferson has a very solid season. In 3 games in Puerto Rico he scored 17.0ppg.
